Hoos-Kow: Chainsaw Carvers from far and near come to Clinton county once a year.

Chainsaw carvers are a tight family. Hooskow hosts one of the largest, and longest running gatherings of carvers. We’ve become a venue for carvers to showcase their wood carvings, creativity, and put on a good show.

Pennsylvania has an abundance of white pine, unlike any other state. Most logs that are used at Hooskow are harvested from residential properties compliments of our partner Saar’s Tree Service.

Hooskow started out in the grassy field in 2015. After growing in size, we’ve moved our event to the Clinton County Fairgrounds where we will be hosting the 12th annual Hooskow.
 

Hooskow showcases many personalities and styles. The artist travel from all around the country to set up shop for four days. From Pennsylvania, Texas, Maine, Georgia, Missouri, and Arkansas; we’ve gathered a nice group of carvers that blend well together and work hard. We are always excited to see the carvers begin to arrive early in the last full week of October. Hooskow takes pride in reuniting each year with old carvers and meeting new to celebrate the art of carving.

The big auction is Saturday at 2:00pm, carvings are for sale all week. We also have a variety of vendors, entertainment, and refreshments to enjoy. We hope to see you at this year’s Hooskow!
